Head-quartered in Europe, the company is looking to appoint a talented and commercially astute Chief Executive Officer to define and execute its growth plans for the UK market.

About You
A confident and highly capable leader, you’ll have demonstrable experience driving and developing high-performance business cultures. You’ll also have significant experience (10 years +) defining business strategies with a focus on maximising sales and profitability, and of delivering omni-channel performance improvements.
With strong knowledge of retail and after sales operations, as well as logistics and supply chain management, you won’t be expected to be an expert in everything, but it goes without saying that you’ll know how to get the most out of, and lead those who are.
Responsible for the day-to-day management and trading of the UK business, you will set a clear vision, strategy and priorities for the team, with a strong focus on growth and profitability.
With an excellent understanding of digital best practice, you’ll be a passionate evangelist of how online can fundamentally change the face of a business. Your strategy will enable the business to further develop existing channels, and to capitalise on new trading opportunities presented by commercial partnerships and e-Commerce.
Above all, you’ll inspire others, and you’ll want to take them on the journey with you.
The Role
• Define, lead & execute the UK business strategy with focus on sales & profitability• Define the vision, strategy, priorities, KPI’s & success measures for the UK business• Own responsibility for the day-to-day management & trading of the UK operation• Align strategic priorities across Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance & After Sales teams• Accountability of UK trading P & L with constant evaluation of financial strategy• Manage & mitigate competitor threats, operational & governance risks• Main point of contact for EMEA & Global Leadership• Lead & inspire a high-performance business culture • Lead the sales teams to win large new to business customers• Recruit market leading talent, mentor & develop a market leading team• Lead & sponsor key business transformation projects• Drive migration of existing customers to lower cost base digital channels• Provide thought leadership & expert guidance to all functional business areas• Represent & promote business to potential / new industry retail partners• Ensure ability of go to market channels meets & exceeds customer expectations
• 10 - 15 yrs + demonstrable experience defining & leading e-Commerce business strategy• Ambition to lead a best-in-class senior leadership team• Strong commercial acumen, with a strong focus on sales & profitability• Highly analytical, with the ability to work to tight deadlines & changing priorities• Excellent communication, presentation & stakeholder management skills• Strong team management, development & mentoring• Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing & eCommerce best practice• A deep understanding of retail & supply chain, customer care & logistics• Abreast of industry trends, technology and what's coming next• Experience managing corporate partner relationships What to expect
